These are real questions answered by the demo. They show the combinations you can ask for, without claiming MoeGo has no equivalent report.
Switching
How to switch from MoeGo
A move involves exporting your client and pet list, mapping your records, checking the import, and deciding how much history to bring across.
- 1
Export your records
Use MoeGo’s client and pet list export, which MoeGo documents as a CSV export. For appointments, visits, balances, messages, photos and signed forms, export what your account allows and check with MoeGo about available options. Keep the original exports and documents private so you can refer to them while checking the new records.
- 2
Load the client and pet list
Load the client and pet CSV into the new database, matching its columns to the fields the importer expects. Run the importer’s dry run before making changes. It checks the whole file and lets you review whether the data can be read and mapped. The supported import covers identity and contact details, so do not assume other history will come across with this file.
- 3
Review flags and map history
Check every issue the dry run reports, especially missing or mismatched fields and records that may be ambiguous. Correct the mapping and test again before importing. Visits, balances, messages, photos and signed forms need separate mapping and reconciliation. Decide which history matters to your business, then verify those records against your MoeGo exports and original documents.
- 4
Run both systems briefly
Keep MoeGo available while you check the new records against your day-to-day work for a short period. Compare client and pet details, appointments, care records and balances with MoeGo, and confirm staff can follow the agreed process. Decide where new changes should be recorded during this period so updates are not missed or entered differently in the two systems.
- 5
Switch off MoeGo
Once the records you need have been checked and your team is ready, choose a cutover point and stop using MoeGo for ongoing work. Capture changes made during the overlap using the exports available to your account, then reconcile them in the new database. Keep your original exports and documents according to your business’s recordkeeping needs.
Where the real effort goes
The main work is usually not loading the client and pet list. It is mapping your own fields and rules, then deciding which history to bring and reconciling it, especially visits, balances and signed forms. The available MoeGo export does not document fixed column headings, so a real account export needs checking. Enterprise DNA handles this mapping and reconciliation when you have them run the system.

Questions
Instead of MoeGo, answered
What does the free version cost to use? expand_more
The software is free under an MIT licence. You arrange your own hosting and coding assistant. Enterprise DNA charges a setup fee, then a retainer for a scoped custom or managed version.
Will all my MoeGo history come across? expand_more
MoeGo provides a client-and-pet CSV export. The free version imports identity and contact details after checking its column mapping. Visits, balances, messages, photos and signed forms need separate mapping and reconciliation. We include that work in the scope of your version.
Can my groomers work from their phones? expand_more
We can build the mobile screens, booking experience and photo workflow your team needs into your version. The free base gives the owner day sheets, care records and printable reports. Agree the field workflow before moving your vans.
Does the care review certify that we meet the rules? expand_more
No. It flags missing records against cited New Zealand guidance and clearly labelled salon policies. Staff still assess the animals and act on care concerns. Australian businesses need their state or territory rules configured.
Can it text owners, take card payments or optimise routes? expand_more
Those connections are part of the version we scope with you. The free base prepares drafts, records payments made elsewhere and lists van visits in appointment order. It sends nothing and moves no money.
Build around how your salon actually works
Spend 30 minutes with Sam. Bring your MoeGo bill, your rebooking process and the things your team still tracks elsewhere. We will scope the version that fits your business and the records to bring across.
