Instead of ThinkSafe
Growing past a ThinkSafe user band should not mean a new price. Own the safety system your team works in.
Enterprise DNA builds a version around your crews, your critical risks and the forms you already use, carries your ThinkSafe history over, and looks after it month to month. A bigger team is good news, not a bigger invoice.
ThinkSafe Go lists NZ$59 a month + GST for one or two users, NZ$105 for up to 15 and NZ$249 for 16 to 25, while Pro is NZ$95 a month for one user plus from NZ$25 a month for each extra user, all on a 12-month term, with Go renewing itself.

What the ThinkSafe membership charges for
User bands, a per-user plan and a term that rolls over
Underneath the app, ThinkSafe keeps a plain set of facts: who works for you, what could hurt them, what was checked, what went wrong and what was promised in return. Here is how the membership bills for keeping them.
A price step at every headcount band
Go charges NZ$59 a month for one or two users, NZ$75 for three to seven and NZ$105 for eight to 15. User number 16 moves you to NZ$249 a month, and past 25 you contact sales.
Per-user pricing on Pro
Pro starts at NZ$95 a month with one Gold App User, then from NZ$25 a month for each extra user. Offline use, custom workflows and integrations sit on this plan, so the businesses that need them pay per head.
A 12-month term that renews itself
Each Go membership runs 12 months and rolls into another 12 unless you say so before the renewal date. Twelve months of the 16 to 25 band billed monthly is NZ$2,988 + GST.
Enterprise reporting as an add-on
Both plans list enterprise reporting as an extra. Enterprise reporting is paid for on top of the band.
Form changes inside a fair-use limit
Go includes custom form changes built by ThinkSafe's team, with fair use applying and some requests needing a separate quote.
Offline only on the dearer plan
Go works online. Crews in forestry blocks, rural yards or basements who need offline capture are pointed at Pro and its per-user price.
What your business gets instead
The same safety records, one flat arrangement, however big the team gets
People
Staff and contractors added in a sentence
Each worker sits on the record with their licences, tickets, inductions and training. A seasonal crew joins on Monday and leaves in March without anyone checking which band you are in.
- check Every licence and ticket due to lapse in the next 60 days listed with the person
- check Contractors and labour-hire held on the same record as staff, since the duties overlap
- check Anyone with an expired ticket flagged by name
- check Head office, stores or depots kept apart or rolled together, as you ask
Critical risks
Hazards held to the controls they actually need
The hazard register scores each risk on a 5x5 and checks the controls against the hierarchy. A serious hazard with nothing better than PPE behind it does not slip past.
- check A high or critical hazard cannot be entered without its controls written down
- check Inspections that have gone overdue surface every morning
- check Toolbox talks tracked by site or team, so a quiet depot shows before something happens
- check Questions the dashboard never offered, such as which site has the most near misses since March
Incidents
A notifiable event stays open until WorkSafe is told
Record the event when it is safe to. If it is notifiable, the duties to notify WorkSafe and keep the scene undisturbed appear at once, and the record will not close until the notification is logged.
- check An investigation closes only with a corrective action or a written reason
- check Corrective actions past their date listed with the owner and the event behind them
- check The written notification drafted from the record for a person to check and send
- check Notifiable event records kept for the five years the Act asks for
Reporting
Reports from your own records, no add-on
Board packs, the printable hazard register and incident summaries render straight from the data in your business's colours. Prequal evidence for a client is a question, not a purchase.
- check A monthly safety report for owners or the board, written from the record in one go
- check Prequal packs pulled together from training, inductions and incident history
- check Every figure traceable back to the record it came from
- check Open source under the MIT licence, so the system stays yours if you ever part with us
Make it yours
Design your own ThinkSafe replacement

Good morning. Here is what needs you today.
We build it from the open-source base, bring your ThinkSafe data across and run it for you.
Switching
How to switch from ThinkSafe
The move is export, load, check, run both for a while, then turn ThinkSafe off, and the import itself is the first proper audit of what you are carrying across.
- 1
Export your records from ThinkSafe
Go into ThinkSafe and export what your account allows, usually Excel, or PDF if that is all a record offers. Get your hazard register, incidents, inspections, toolbox talks, inductions and training, and corrective actions. ThinkSafe's own FAQ says it will help you export your data if you go, so ask them directly if a screen does not offer what you need.
- 2
Load the records, test run first
Bring the exported files into the new system. If the import offers a test run, do that first and look over the result before committing to it for real. This step is also where field names and categories from ThinkSafe get matched to the new system, which Enterprise DNA handles if they are running it for you.
- 3
Check what the import flags
Once loaded, the import is treated as an audit, not just a file move. Anything that does not fit cleanly, a notifiable event with no regulator date, a hazard with no listed control, gets surfaced rather than buried. Go through what it flags before you trust the record as complete.
- 4
Run both systems side by side
Keep ThinkSafe live while you work from the new system for a short stretch. Log anything new in both places so nothing falls through a gap, and use the time to confirm your crews can find what they need and that the figures in both systems agree with each other.
- 5
Give notice and switch off ThinkSafe
ThinkSafe Go renews automatically for another 12 months unless you tell ThinkSafe before the renewal date, so find that date early and give notice in time. Once you are confident in the new record and nothing is still landing only in ThinkSafe, cancel it and stop paying for the plan.
Where the real effort goes
The export and the load are the easy part. The real work is deciding which of your own fields, categories and rules carry across as they are, which get changed, and how much history is worth bringing rather than leaving in an archive. Enterprise DNA does this mapping and the import itself when you have them run it for you.

Questions
Instead of ThinkSafe, answered
ThinkSafe includes HASANZ-registered advisors. What happens to that? expand_more
This is a system for your records, not an advisory service. It shows what is overdue, unreported or missing a control, and it does not stand in for a safety professional. Keep or engage your own HASANZ-registered adviser, and give them one clean record to work from.
ThinkSafe comes with forms already written. Do I start from blank? expand_more
No. The free version ships with a hazard register, incident reporting, inductions, inspections, toolbox talks and training records. Enterprise DNA then sets up the forms and checks you already use, so your crews do not relearn their paperwork.
Can I get my records out of ThinkSafe? expand_more
Yes. ThinkSafe's Go page says you can export to PDF or Excel, and its FAQ says it will help you export your data if you leave. Its columns differ from the free version's import, so mapping them is part of what Enterprise DNA does in the setup.
When should I switch, given the 12-month term? expand_more
Go memberships renew automatically for another 12 months unless you tell ThinkSafe before the renewal date. Find that date, give notice in time, and run both side by side for the final weeks so nothing drops between them.
Will this make my business compliant? expand_more
It holds the records the Health and Safety at Work Act and its Regulations call for, and checks them against rules that cite their sections. Compliance comes from how you run the work, and software alone never makes that true. None of this is legal advice.
Keep your safety record, drop the headcount bands
30 minutes with Sam. We look at your ThinkSafe plan and band, how many people you expect to have next year, where your crews work, and what your own version would hold. If it fits, we build it and run it. If not, take the free version and run it yourself.
