The plans
What Timely charges
Timely charges per bookable staff member, per month, across three tiers. Every chair you fill and every plan you move up reprices the whole team at once, before texts and card fees are added.
Build
US$26 per bookable staff member per month (about A$42 locally)
The entry tier, priced per staff member, with the basics and the smallest text allowance.
Elevate
US$39 per bookable staff member per month (about A$65 locally)
The middle tier a working salon tends to sit on. A 10-chair salon here runs about US$4,700 a year before texts and payment fees.
Innovate
US$47 per bookable staff member per month (about A$79 locally)
The top tier, where the consultation forms, campaign tools and fuller reporting held back on lower plans get unlocked.
How the bill is built
A price on every stylist
Build is US$26, Elevate US$39, Innovate US$47, per bookable staff member per month, about A$42 to A$79 locally. Every apprentice who starts taking clients is another line added to the monthly bill.
Tiers that gate the basics
Consultation forms, campaign tools and fuller reporting sit one plan up from wherever you start. Moving up to reach them does not add a feature quietly, it reprices every staff member on the plan at once.
Texts on a meter
Each plan includes a monthly text allowance for reminders and recalls. Once that allowance is used, every further reminder is charged per message, on the exact tool that is meant to be stopping no-shows.
Payment fees on top
Card payments taken through the platform carry processing fees on every transaction. That cost sits on top of the monthly subscription you are already paying per staff member, per tier.
A year of Timely
What a 10-chair salon pays across a year
On the middle plan, a 10-chair salon runs about US$4,700 a year on the subscription alone, before texts past the included allowance and before card processing fees are added on top. A larger team, a higher tier, or heavy texting during a busy season pushes that figure up further, and multi-site groups pay more again.
Underneath the bill
What you are really paying for
Screens rented over your own records
The client book, the colour formulas and years of appointment history are already yours in practice. What the monthly fee actually buys is the screens around them, priced per staff member and locked to whichever tier you are on.
Features held back for the next tier
Consultation forms, campaign tools and fuller reporting are not missing, they are simply gated one plan up. Reaching them means moving the whole team's subscription up a tier, not adding one feature quietly.
A meter on reminders and card payments
Text reminders run against a monthly allowance before per-message charges start, and card payments carry processing fees on every transaction. Both sit on top of the subscription, on the exact things that keep chairs full and no-shows down.
The owned alternative
The owned alternative to a per-seat bill
Enterprise DNA builds a version around how your salon actually runs, brings your Timely records across from its own exports, and runs it for you, for one setup fee then a monthly retainer with no per-seat pricing. There is also a free version you can run yourself, with the day sheet, client cards and takings printing straight from your own records.

Questions
Timely pricing, answered
Why does Timely's bill grow even if my prices stay the same? expand_more
Timely charges per bookable staff member, per month, on top of the tier you sit on. Every new stylist or apprentice who starts taking clients adds another line to the subscription, and reminder texts past the included allowance or card processing fees add further cost on top, all without a price change on your end.
Can I avoid the higher tiers if I only want one or two features? expand_more
Not on Timely's structure. Consultation forms, campaign tools and fuller reporting sit one plan up, and reaching them means moving the entire team's subscription to that tier, which reprices every staff member on the plan at once rather than adding a single feature.
Does the cost drop if I switch to something I run myself? expand_more
Enterprise DNA offers a free version you run yourself, alongside a built version with a setup fee then a monthly retainer instead of a per-seat plan. Your client history, appointments and formulas import from your own Timely exports either way, so the records stay yours.
